HITCHING TO TRACTOR (Cont.)
Transport Safety Chain
1. Attach transport safety chain to hitch with
1"x8
1
2
" bolt furnished with machine bundle.
Tighten bolt securely.
2. Attach chain clevis (if tractor is not so equipped)
to tractor drawbar with bolt and locknut
furnished in chain bundle.
3. Thread chain through clevis, then attach chain
around tractor drawbar frame. Adjust chain
slack to allow implement to turn.
4. Connect chain hook and secure with latch.
WARNING! ALWAYS USE TRANSPORT SAFETY
CHAIN WHEN TRANSPORTING
IMPLEMENT. FAILURE TO DO SO
COULD CAUSE SERIOUS
PERSONAL INJURY AND MACHINE
DAMAGE IF IMPLEMENT BECOMES
UNHOOKED FROM TOWING
VEHICLE.
Purging the Hydraulic System
Prime the hydraulic system and purge the air from
the system before going to the field (p. 28).
WARNING! RECHECK FLUID LEVEL IN TRAC-
TOR RESERVOIR AFTER PRIMING HYDRAULIC
SYSTEM. FAILURE TO DO SO CAN RESULT IN
PERSONAL INJURY AND / OR DAMAGE TO
TRACTOR OR IMPLEMENT. ADD FLUID AS
REQUIRED.
