OPERATION
UNHITCHING FROM TRACTOR
WARNING! TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY OR
DEATH, STOP TRACTOR ENGINE,
SHIFT TO PARK POSITION OR SHIFT
TO NEUTRAL AND SET BRAKES
BEFORE UNHITCHING.
Implement Lowered
IMPORTANT! To prevent point damage, do not
lower implement on concrete or rocks.
1. Choose a level area to unhitch. Lower
implement (and wings on folding models) to
ground.
2. Relieve pressure in tractor hydraulic system.
3. Disconnect hydraulic hoses and install imple-
ment coupler dust caps and tractor coupler
plugs.
4. Install jack. Remove transport safety chain and
hitch pin.
5. Perform “End of Day” service as outlined in the
SERVICE Section.
WARNING! BE SURE NO ONE IS BETWEEN
TRACTOR AND IMPLEMENT DURING
UNHITCHING OPERATION WHILE
TRACTOR ENGINE IS RUNNING.
Implement Raised
WARNING! DEPENDING ON WEIGHT OF ANY
OPTIONAL REAR ATTACHMENT,
IMPLEMENT MAY BE HEAVY ON
REAR WITH NO WEIGHT ON HITCH.
BEFORE UNHITCHING RAISED
IMPLEMENT, BE SURE WEIGHT IS
ON HITCH. IF NOT, LOWER
IMPLEMENT BEFORE UNHITCHING.
1. Choose a level area to unhitch (wings folded or
unfolded on folding models).
2. Install cylinder lockup (Fig. 19), check weight on
hitch and securely block wheels.
3. Relieve pressure in hydraulic system,
disconnect hydraulic hoses and install coupler
dust caps.
4. Install jack, remove transport safety chain and
hitch pin.
5. Perform “End of Day” service as outlined in the
SERVICE Section.
UNFOLDING AND FOLDING WINGS
To unfold wings:
1. Fully raise implement off ground.
2. Move tractor hydraulic lever forward and unfold
wings.
IMPORTANT! To prevent unecessary stress on
wing components, unfold wings slowly and
carefully.
To fold wings, move tractor lever rearward. Be sure
wings rest on wing stops when completely folded.
WARNING! CLEAR BYSTANDERS FROM THE
AREA WHEN FOLDING OR
UNFOLDING THE WINGS.
TRANSPORTING THE IMPLEMENT
1. Raise implement and wings on folding models.
Install cylinder lockup, then lower cylinder to
rest on lockup during transport.
2. Attach transport safety chain to tractor.
3. Install swivel hitch retaining pin.
4. Be sure tires are correctly and evenly inflated.
5. Be sure wheel bolts are tight.
