Practices and Hazards’ section at the front of this guide and ensure
that the laboratory is set up according to the details specified in the

the room from a vent in the bottom of the nitrogen generator. A noise

Turning on the Nitrogen Generator
To turn on the nitrogen generator:
1 Ensure that the gas filters are installed correctly and do not need
replacing.
2 Ensure the air and nitrogen hoses are connected to the nitrogen
generator and that the air supply is turned on.
3 Check the pressure indicated on the pressure gauge of the filter
regulator unit on the right side of the nitrogen generator meets
the specification.
