4.4.5.2.1.3 Ratio Reference
If FM Deviation is to be displayed relative to a reference, enter the value as a ratio reference using this key.
4.4.5.2.1.4 Ratio Mode
The ratio and previous ratio functions permit any measurement result to be scaled to a reference. The reference may be
either a measurement result or a keyboard entry. The Log/Linear key enables measurement results to be displayed in linear
or logarithmic units. In the Ratio mode, measurements are made in the same way as when not in the Ratio mode, however,
before the result is displayed, the internal controller converts it to ratio. The following equations are used for computing
ratio:
(M/R) * 100 % = % ratio for linear display,
20 * log (M/R) = dB ratio for logarithmic display,
where M is the measurement result and R is the ratio reference.
