8 Determining the influence of radiation
! To determine the influence of radiation on the temperature measurement,
two additional temperature sensors with surfaces with different radiation
coefficients (Ɛ<0.15 and Ɛ>0.6) (e.g. stainless steel and PTFE) are used.
! An ALMEMO
®
measuring device with a sufficient number of ALMEMO
®
input
sockets is required to simultaneously measure the influence of radiation at
one point and the temperature and relative humidity at 9 points. Otherwise,
the radiation influence must be determined separately from the humidity.
The ALMEMO
®
connectors of the temperature sensors can then be
connected to the input sockets used for the ALMEMO
®
connectors of the
psychrometer.
1. Position and attach the two different temperature sensors to determine the
influence of radiation at a measuring point (for example, in the center of the
useful volume).
2. Proceed as described in chapters 5, 6 and 7.
When creating the hardware profile in the assistant for calibrating
climatic chambers, enter the measuring points of the two temperature
sensors in the line
Measuring points for determining the
influence of radiation.
