LOUDNESS

MUTING
buttons
as
desired.
CAUTION:
Do
not
connect
a
crystal
or
ceramic
type
car-
tridge
turntable
to
the
PHONO
jacks.
When
using
this
type
of
turntable,
employ
the
AUX
jacks
and
depress
the
AUX
switch.
*
When
a
PHONO
ground
line
is
available,
connect
to
the
Ground
(-7}7)
terminal.
*
Avoid
placing
the
turntable
too
close
to
the
speaker
sys-
tem.
If
placed
too
close,
transmission
of
vibration
from
the
speakers
will
cause
howling.
*
Confirm
that
the
connections
are
complete
and
that
the
thickness
of
wire
is
sufficient.
Incorrect
or
incomplete
wir-
ing
is,
in
some
cases,
the
cause
of
hum.

Check
to
see
if
the
connections
are
correct
and
are
not
loose.

Check
for
correct
grounding.
*
Shielded
wire
is
away
from
fluorescent
lamps.

TONALITY

NOISY
SOUND

Worn
out
stylus
or
record
must
be
replaced.
*
Check
to
see
if
the
stylus
or
record
is
clean.
*
Pressure
of
stylus
must
be
properly
set.
