Applicable for 3A Standards
When used in a processing system to be sterilized,
the system shall be provided with an automatic shut
down if the product pressure becomes less than that
of the atmosphere and not be restarted without rest-
erilization (see paragraph D10.3). Information plate
will then state that the PHE “is” designed for steam
sterilization.

product. In many cases it is possible to carry out
cleaning at considerably longer intervals. Sometimes
it is possible to eliminate acid cleaning altogether.
