Connection
Differenttypesofconnectionscanbeusedtoconnectthepipingsystemtotheapparatus.
Flangedconnectionscanbeattachedwitheitherpinboltsorheadedbolts.
Makesurethepipeconnectionsaresecurelyheldwhenworkingonthepipings.
Caution!
Turningoftheconnectionswilldamagethegasketsontheendplateandcauseleakage.
Note!
Usingheadedboltsrequirecarefulmeasuringtoensurethattheboltsgetthecorrect
engagedthreadedlengthintotheFrameplateandtheminimumengagementlength
(min)arestatedinthePHEdrawing.Themaximumengagementthreadedlength(max)
intheFrameplateislimited,refertothePHEdrawing.
TheengagedthreadedlengthmustbemaintainedwithinthelimitsforthetightenedPHE.
Caution!
Failingtoachievecorrectengagedthreadedlengthforheadedboltmayresultin
leakage,damagetotheframeplateandinjurytopersonnel
Connectionsinthepressureplate
ItisimportantthattheplatepackhasbeentightenedtothecorrectdimensionA(checkagainst
PHEdrawing)beforethepipingsystemisconnected.
Driptray(Optional)
DependingonthetypeofuidinthePHEandthetypeofinstallation,adriptray(drainagebox)
maybenecessarytoavoidinjurytopersonnelanddamagetoequipment.
Note!
PutthedriptrayinplacebeforepositioningthePHE.
