Duringstart-upcheckthatnovisibleleakagesappearfromplatepack,valvesorpipingsystem.

BeforepressurizingthePHEitisimportanttoensurethatthetemperatureofthePHEis
withinthetemperaturerangestatedinthePHEdrawing.

IfthetemperatureofthePHEisbelowtheminimumtemperatureforthegasketspriorto
theserviceitisrecommendedtoheatupthePHEabovethislimittoavoidcoldleakage.
Note!
Ifseveralpumpsareincludedinthesystem,makesureyouknowwhichoneshouldbe
activatedrst.
Centrifugalpumpsmustbestartedagainstclosedvalvesandvalvesmustbeoperatedas
smoothlyaspossible.
Donotrunpumpstemporarilyemptyonthesuctionside.
Note!
Adjustmentsofowratesshouldbemadeslowlyinordertoavoidtheriskofpressure
surge(waterhammer).
Waterhammerisashortlastingpressurepeakthatcanappearduringstart-upor
shut-downofasystem,causingliquidstotravelalongapipeasawaveatthespeedof
sound.Thiscancauseconsiderabledamagetotheequipment.

Beforestart-upcheckthatalltighteningboltsarermlytightened
andthatthedimensionAiscorrect,refertoPHEdrawing

Checkthatthevalveisclosedbetweenthepumpandtheunit
controllingthesystemowratetoavoidpressuresurge.
Step3
Ifthereisaventvalveinstalledattheexit,makesureitisfully
open.
