Adjustmentsofowratesshouldbemadeslowlyinordertoprotectthesystemagainstsudden
andextremevariationsoftemperatureandpressure.
Duringoperation,checkthatmediatemperaturesandpressuresarewithinthelimitsstatedon
thenameplateandPHE-drawing.
Warning!
IncaseoffailuresthatendangersafetyoperationturnofftheowtothePHEinorderto
decreasethepressureandstopheattransfer.
Shut-down
Note!
Ifseveralpumpsareincludedinthesystem,makesureyouknowwhichoneshouldbe
stoppedrst.
Step1
Slowlyclosethevalvecontrollingtheowrateofthepumpyou
areabouttostop.
Step2
Whenthevalveisclosed,stopthepump.
Step3
RepeatStep1–Step2fortheothersideforthesecondmedia.
Step4
IfthePHEisshutdownforseveraldaysorlonger,itshould
bedrained.Drainingshouldalsobedoneiftheprocessis
shutdownandtheambienttemperatureisbelowfreezing
temperatureofthemedia.Dependingonthemediaprocessed,
itisalsorecommendedtorinseanddrythePHEplatesand
connections.
