Beforeinstallation
Toconsiderbeforeinstallation
•Beforeconnectinganypiping,makesureallforeignobjectshavebeenushedoutofthe
pipingsystemthatshouldbeconnectedtothePHE.
•Beforestart-upcheckthatalltighteningboltsarermlytightenedandthatthecorrect
measurementsoftheplatepack,refertoPHEdrawing.
•WhenconnectingthepipingsystemmakesurethepipesdonotsubjectthePHEtostress
orstrain.
•T oavoidwaterhammer,donotusefast-closingvalves.
•MakesurethatnoairremainswithinthePHE.
•Safetyvalvesshallbeinstalledaccordingtocurrentpressurevesselregulations.
•Itisrecommendedthatprotectivesheetsareusedtocovertheplatepack.Protectagainst
leakageofhotoraggressiveuidsandthehotplatepack
•IfthePHEsurfacetemperatureisexpectedtobehotorcoldtakeprotectiveactions,such
asinsulatethePHE,toavoidriskforpersonnelinjuries.Ensurethatrequiredactionare
accordingtolocalregulation.
•Foreachmodel,designpressuresandtemperaturesaremarkedonthenameplate.These
shallnotbeexceeded.
Requirements
Space
Aminimumfreespaceisneededforliftingplatesinandout.RefertothedeliveredPHEdrawing.
Foundation
Installonaatfoundationgivingenoughsupporttotheframe.
Elbow
TomakeiteasiertodisconnectthePHE,anelbowshouldbettedtotheconnectioninthe
pressureplate,directedupwardsorsideways,andwithanotherangelocatedjustoutsidethe
contourofthePlateHeatExchanger.
Shut-offvalve
TobeabletoopenthePHE,shut-offvalvesshouldbeprovidedinallconnections.
