ANALOG RETRANSMIT OR DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS (OUTPUT 4)
Output 4 can be ordered as either an analog output (Analog Retransmit) or a digital
output (EIA/RS-232 or EIA/RS-485). The two options are described below in more
detail.
Analog Retransmit
With this option installed, the Series 800/850 TEC Controllers will output an analog
voltage corresponding to the user selectable parameter via the front panel.
When using multiple controllers to control multiple points to the same temperature,
you can simply connect the analog output of one controller to the analog input of the
next. This allows you to communicate to all other controllers from the first controller
in the series of controllers.
Digital Communications
The Digital Communications option can be ordered as either EIA/RS-232 or
EIA/RS-485. This allows for communication between a PC and the Series 800/850
TEC Controllers. This also makes it possible to configure and log data using the
optional TECView
software described later in this section.
