WARNINGS
To avoid the risk of fire or electrical shock, do not expose the outside surfaces of the
Series 800/850 temperature controller to rain or water spray.
WHEN POWERED, THE PRESENCE OF NON-INSULATED
DANGEROUS VOLTAGES WITHIN THE INSTRUMENT MAY BE OF
SUFFICIENT MAGNITUDE TO CONSTITUTE A RISK OF ELECTRICAL
SHOCK RESULTING IN INJURY OR DEATH. LEAVE ALL SERVICING
TO QUALIFIED PERSONNEL. REMOVE ALL POWER SOURCES
WHEN INSTALLING OR REMOVING SENSOR CONNECTIONS AND
WHEN CHANGING THE SENSOR SETUP.
RF DISCLAIMER
This instrument generates and uses small amounts of radio frequency energy, and
there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If
this equipment does cause interference to radio or television reception, try to correct
the interference by one of more of the following steps:
1) Reorient the receiving antenna.
2) Relocate the instrument with respect to the receiver.
3) Change the AC outlet of the instrument so the instrument and receiver are on
different branch circuits.
VENTILATION
DO NOT BLOCK ANY OF THE AIR VENTS LOCATED ON THE
SERIES 800/850 TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER,
THESE VENTS ARE CRITICAL FOR HELPING TO KEEP THE
COMPONENTS WITHIN THEIR OPERATING TEMPERATURE
RANGE. SEVERE DAMAGE TO THE INSTRUMENT MAY TAKE
PLACE IF AIR FLOW IS IMPEDED.
Caution Notes:
I. This controller must be installed and operated in accordance with the
instructions contained in this manual. Failure to do so may, in some
situations, defeat the protection schemes designed into this equipment and
could pose a serious haszard.
II. If the controller was configured for use with 208/240 VAC, 50Hz. AC power,
the instrument was shipped without a modular flexible powr cord. UL
regulations mandate that users supply their own power cord equipped with
the specific connector for that country. This will help to assure that the
power cord meets all the local regulations for the rated voltages, current, as
well as color codes for wires and marker threads in the cordage itself. The
controller requires a cordset rated for 250 VAC and 5 amperes minimum. The
equipment connector required is a standard IEC 60320-C13 to mate with that
on the controller.
