The AlphaCom XL is also available in a version with synthetic casing, intergrated power supply and a back-
up battery. When using this version it is also possible to transmit certain information back to the
AlphaVision control panel. When selecting the YES option for „Tamper Alarm‟ then the status of the tamper
switch on the AlphaCom XL is transmitted to the AlphaVision.
The AlphaCom XL can be connected to the AlphaVision NG, AlphaHome (AlphaLot) and AlphaBox
control panels. The AlphaCom XL is also compatible with future generation control panels like the
AlphaVision ML and AlphaVision XL.
When using the RS-485 connection the following must be taken into consideration:
 the AlphaCom XL gets its power supply through the -+16VDC input. This is always the case when
using the version in its own synthetic casing containing power supply and battery back-up. This is
the best solution. When using this version only the 0V, A and B connections must be made on the
RS-485 bus. The + terminal must not be connected from the RS-485 to the AlphaCom XL.
 the AlphaCom XL gets its power supply directly from the RS-485 bus. In this case all connections
(0V, +, A and B) must be made.
Attention: when using the RS-485 bus connection jumpers J24 and J25 must be removed.
