LEAVING THE SPA POOL SHORT TERM
Ifyouareheadingawayforaholidayorjustknowyouwon’tbeusingyourspapool
forashortperiodoftime(lessthanamonth),it’sagoodideatotakesomestepsto
protectyourspapoolandsaveyoutheheatingcosts!
1. Clean Filters
Yourspapooloperatesbestwithacleansetoflters.Removeandwash
thoroughlyasperltercleaninginstructionsonpage70.
2. Remove Headrests
Uncliptheheadrestsanddryoffbeforeputtingtheminasafeplace.When
thecoverstaysonthespapoolforanextendedperiodoftime,ozonegascan
buildupontopofthewaterandeatawayattheheadrestmaterial.
3. Shock Dose
Shockdosethewaterusingacapfulof‘SpaChlor’andensurethecoverisleft
offfor1hourwhilerunningthepumpsbeforereplacingit.
4. Turn Down Temperature
Turnthetemperaturedowntothelow20’s,orplaceinawaymodeandmake
surethespapoolissettooperateitsltercyclesautomatically(thisisthe
default).
5. Secure Cover
Placethespapoolcoveronsecurelyandlockwiththeclips.
Byfollowingthosestepsyourspapoolwillkeeplteringandwillnotheat
excessivelywhileyouareaway.Youwillreturntoahealthy,cleanspapool.If
possible,whileyouareaway,haveaneighbourorfriendopenthespapoolcover
onceeveryaweekforafewminutestoairitoutandshockdosethewaterif
required.
4. Circulate Water
Placethecoverbackonthespapoolandleaveittocirculateforafewhours,
thenremovetheltersandwashthoroughly.Wipetheacrylicedgeifrequired
anddrainthespapoolasperthedrainandrellprocess.
5. Rell and Shock
Afterrellingthespapool,removethecoverandshockdosethewaterwith
SpaChloror02Shocktokillanyexistingbacteriapresentinthewater.Aerate
thespausingthejets.
