What to do if my Alpine Boiler is not responding to heat call?
    • K
      Kevin RomeroAug 25, 2025
If your Alpine Boiler isn't responding to a call for heat and the status and priority show standby, the boiler isn't detecting the call for heat. Check the thermostat or zone wiring for loose connections, miswiring, or a defective thermostat/zone control.

Why is the green power light blinking on my Alpine ALP080B control?
    • Z
      Zachary McmahonAug 26, 2025
A blinking green power light on the control indicates a control fault. The internal power supply is repeatedly starting and stopping. Try disconnecting all terminals except 24VAC to power the Control. The green light should be steady. If it is not, then the control is defective. If steady, start plugging in all the connectors while watching the green light. When faulty wiring reconnected, green light will begin to flash.

What causes a Boiler Safety Limit Open (Condition 2) on an Alpine ALP080B?
    • T
      Tamara Thompson MDAug 27, 2025
A Boiler Safety Limit Open (Condition 2) indicates that the boiler safety limit wired to terminals J6-1, 2, or 3 is open. Potential causes include loose wiring to the limit device, an auto-reset supply high limit sensor detecting a temperature in excess of 200°F.

Why is my Alpine ALP080B Boiler display dark but the fan is running?
    • E
      Erin RobertsonAug 27, 2025
If the display is completely dark, but the fan is running, the issue is likely a lack of 24Vac power to the control. Check for loose 120Vac connection wiring between the boiler J-Box and the transformer, or loose 24 Vac connection wiring between the transformer and the control.

Why is my Alpine ALP080B display dark but the boiler still fires?
    • N
      Natasha JohnsonSep 16, 2025
If the display is completely dark but the boiler fires, the issue is likely a lack of 5 Vdc power to the display. Check for a loose 5 Vdc connection wiring between the display and the control, or a defective display or control.

What causes ignition failure on Alpine Boiler?
    • S
      Suzanne MendezSep 13, 2025
Ignition failure (Condition 11) on models ALP080B through ALP285B means flame failure after 5 tries to restart. Possible causes include no gas pressure.

    Caitlin MullenSep 14, 2025
What does DT inlet/outlet high mean on my Alpine ALP080B?
    • L
      Leslie HerreraSep 15, 2025
A high DT inlet/outlet indicates that the temperature rise between the supply and return is too high. This can be due to inadequate boiler water flow. Verify that the circulator is operating and that the circulator and piping are sized per Section VI of this manual.

What does a stack sensor fault mean on Alpine Boiler?
    • C
      Cynthia LambertSep 6, 2025
A stack sensor fault indicates a shorted or open flue gas (stack) temperature sensor. Check for shorted or mis-wired flue temperature sensor wiring, or a defective flue temperature sensor.

What causes a return sensor fault on an Alpine ALP080B?
    • C
