2 Installation
2.1 Introduction
TheequipmentspeciedinthisUserGuidemustbeoperated,maintainedandserviced
bysuitablytrainedpersonnel,capableofcarefullyfollowingtheprocedures,warnings
andguidelinesgiven.ItisadvisablethatallUserGuidesandInstallationGuides
associatedwithLSPHDSystemequipmentshouldbereadthoroughlyandbekeptreadily
available.
CAUTION
Ensure that the LSPHDHeadismountedsecurely,inalocationwheretheeffects
of vibration, dust and fumes are kept to a minimum. Ensure that the scanning
sight path is not obscured.
The LSPHD10,20&21haveafocusdistancefactorysetat2000mm/79in.
RefertoSection2.2fordetailsofhowtochangethefocusdistance.
Chooseamountinglocationwhichminimisesexternalheatingofthescanner.
Iftheambienttemperatureoftheunitexceedsthespeciedmaximum,a
coolingsystem(availablefromAMETEKLand)mustbetted.
Iftheinstrumentistobeusedinenvironmentswheregasesresultingfrom
combustionarepresent,contactAMETEKLandsothattheapplicationcanbe
fullyassessedbeforeyouinstallthescanner.
