7.8.3 Installing the lens and the SPI
In order to fit it, proceed as follows:
1. Lay the PTFE ring (2) flat into
the SPI (1).
2. Insert the lens (3) with the flat
side into the SPI.
 The lens for the SPI
(SOP/MULTIVIEW
application) can be
distinguished by the
straight edge on two sides.
3. Lay the second PTFE ring (4)
on top of it.
4. Moderately tighten the light
channel sleeve (5) including the
light channel (6).

5. Insert the SPI into the instrument following the reverse order used for the
disassembly procedure.
6. Install the plasma torch and adapter; see page 41.
 The lens and SPI are now installed.
