Malfunction Remedy
Nebulizer gas flow
deviation
The set flow rate cannot be reached.
 Check the argon pressure and the plasma torch for leaks
or blockages and whether all connections have been
made correctly.
Auxiliary gas flow
deviation
The set flow rate cannot be reached.
 Check the argon pressure and the plasma torch for leaks
or blockages and whether all connections have been
made correctly.
Generator current
symmetry error
Check the sample introduction system for leaks or blockages
and whether all connections have been made correctly. If the
problem persists, please contact the SPECTRO Service
Department.
Generator overcurrent
The plasma could not be started because a current exceeding
the maximum value was detected during the plasma start.
Restart the instrument. If the problem persists, please contact
the SPECTRO Service Department
Internal temperature
error
 Ensure that the exhaust airflow rate (generator)
corresponds to the values listed in the operating manual.
Make the necessary adjustment as required.
 Turn off the instrument and restart it again. If the problem
persists, please contact the SPECTRO Service
Department.
Undervoltage error Turn off the instrument and restart it again. If the problem
persists, please contact the SPECTRO Service Department.
Plasma extinguished
during the operation
 Flush the sample introduction system and try to start the
plasma again.
 Check the entire sample introduction system for leaks;
 Make sure that there are no blockages in the plasma torch
and droplets are removed in the aerosol path.
 If impurities have accumulated on the coil, clean it as
described in the manual.
