5.4 Operation
The appliance is operated by means of digital control unit, which is used to set the desired operating
temperature. See section 8 for more details about the control panel.
ATTENTION! The appliance is not intended for the refrigeration of food products
for a long period, and does not replace a refrigerator. Any products left over at
the end of the day must be moved to a suitable refrigerator for their storage, then
the appliance must be switched off and cleaned, as indicated in paragraph 6.2 -
Cleaning the appliance.
The user may carry out the following operations:
Switch on/off (see Pic.1 and Pic.3 - Section 8)
To turn on the appliance, connect the power plug to the electrical socket and switch the main op-
erating 0/I switch by moving it to the I(ON) position. The light inside the switch turns on and the
current temperature inside the appliance will appear on the display. In the case of a power failure,
the compressor will restart approximately 3 minutes after the power supply has been restored in
order to avoid damaging the appliance by switching it on and off multiple times.
To shut off the appliance turn the main operating 0/I switch to the 0(OFF) position and disconnect
the plug from the electrical socket. Wait at least 10 seconds after disconnecting the plug before
connecting the appliance to the power supply line again.
Temperature setting (set point)
Press once the SET button until the temperature on the display starts blinking. Use the UP and DOWN
keys to raise or lower the set point temperature. Press once the SET key or wait for a few seconds
to confirm and save the adjustment.
When running, the appliance will cool the cell until the currently set operating
temperature is reached. Once the set operating temperature is reached, the elec-
tronic control unit will turn off the cooling unit until the temperature detected by
the probe rises by about 4-5 degrees. When this happens, the control unit will
turn on the cooling unit to lower the temperature until it returns to the set oper-
ating temperature.
This “on-off” mechanism is perfectly normal and is common in all refrigeration
equipment such as refrigerated bars, cabinets, display cases, etc.
Please note that the temperature shown on the control unit display refers to the
air temperature (very susceptible to temperature changes due to the opening of
the door) and not to the temperature at the core of the appliance, which is much
more constant over time.
Lighting
The appliance is equipped with internal LED light. To turn on or turn off the light, press the LIGHTING
button on the digital control unit (Pic.3 - Section 8).
LED indicators
COMPRESSOR LED: this indicator lighting during the cooling cycle when the compressor is running, it
turns off when it is not active and blinks when the cooling cycle remains off for a long time.
DEFROST LED: this indicator lighting during the defrost cycle, it turns off when the process ends and
blinks when the defrost cycle remains inactive for a long time.
