Hermetically Sealing a Continuous Bale Row
There are several methods to hermetically seal the ends of a bale row. Here is the method that
the Anderson Group recommends.
Important: When wrapping the first and last bales, you must ensure that the plastic film
covers the perimeter of the side of the bale (Figure 7.1). It is best to perform several
revolutions at each end of the bale row.

Material required:
- Plastic sheet sold by Anderson
- Adhesive tape sold by Anderson
- Scissors or knife
- Install the sheet with a piece of adhesive tape so that it completely covers the area
that is not covered by the plastic film.
- Use the adhesive tape to seal the perimeter of the plastic sheet.
Ensure that the width of the tape is split evenly between the plastic sheet and the plastic
wrapping film and that there are no wrinkles in the sheet. A small air leak can cause the silage
to deteriorate.
