MAINTENANCE
GENERAL CARE AND MAINTENANCE
• Switch o the appliance and unplug the power
cord before cleaning and/or maintenance.
• Do not use strong chemicals, detergents or
solvents.
• Do not pour or rinse water on the appliance –
risk of electric shock.
• A damaged power cord must be replaced by an
authorised service centre, or other qualied
personnel, to ensure safe use.
AIR FILTER
• Clean the air lter at least every other week for
best functionality.
DISMANTLING
• The appliance has two lters. Pull the top lter in
the direction of the arrow and fold down (g.
23). Remove the bottom lter by undoing the
screw and taking out the lter (g. 23).
CLEANING
• Wash the lter carefully with hot water and a
mild detergent. Rinse and allow to dry.
ASSEMBLY
• Fit the lter by following the above instructions in
the reverse order (g. 24).
CASING
• Clean the casing with a soft cloth moistened with
a mild detergent and wipe dry.
IF THE APPLIANCE IS NOT GOING TO BE
USED FOR SOME TIME
• Remove the drain plug on the back of the
appliance and connect a hose. Lead the hose to
a suitable drain (g. 20 and 21).
• Remove the bottom drain plug to empty the
bottom tray (g. 22).
• Allow the appliance to run in FAN mode for 6
hours in a warm room to dry the inside and to
reduce the risk of mildew.
• Switch o the appliance, unplug the power cord,
and hang up the cord and plug in the holders on
the back (g. 25). Remove the batteries from the
remote control.
• Clean and replace the air lter.
