IV. Wireless Flash Shooting: Radio Transmission
Note:
The transmitter attached to the camera is called the master unit, and a ash
that is wirelessly controlled is called the slave unit.
Wireless Flash Shooting
Using a transmitter and Canon Speedlites compatible with radio transmission
wireless shooting makes it easy to shoot with advanced wireless multiple ash
lighting, in the same way as normal E-TTL II/E-TTL auto ash shooting.
The settings of the transmitter attached to the camera (master) are
automatically reected on the ash that is wirelessly controlled (slave).
Therefore, you do not need to operate the slave unit while shooting. You can
then perform wireless E-TTL II/ETTL autoash shooting just by setting the
master unit to ETTL mode.
You can choose to perform autoash shooting using one slave unit only, or
perform wireless multiple ash shooting using two or more(up to 15) slave
units.
