6.7 Maintenance
Caution
To guarantee correct operation of the device:
Do not use the Product outside its operational temperature range.
Ensure that all cables are in good condition.
Use special (included) plugs that make a firm, secure connection to the
Product’s output binding posts.
Inspect and repair loose output binding posts before use of the Product.
If instruments to be calibrated are not connected to the Product output
terminals with the original test cables, ensure that cables suitable for the
calibration adjustment voltage and current are used.
6.7.1 Regular Maintenance
The device does not require special maintenance of electrical or mechanical parts. Inspect the output
binding posts for wear and any loose connections. The case and the display can be cleaned by a
microfiber cloth rag moistened with alcohol.
The device should be verified at the recommended two years’ interval.
6.7.2 Cleaning the Product
Caution
To prevent damage of device, do not use aromatic hydrocarbons or chlorinated
solvents for cleaning. They can damage the materials used in the device.
For general cleaning, first disconnect all power input and signal cables. Wipe the device with a soft cloth
dampened with water or a non-abrasive mild cleaning solution that does not harm plastics.
6.7.3 Battery Replacement
Device contains 4 user-replaceable accumulators size AA, which are located under back cover.
Exchange them only in case that running time on batteries (without external power or power from
measured circuit using special VT) has been significantly shortened. To exchange them follow this
procedure:
1. Turn OFF the device and disconnect all cables and accessories.
2. Release the screws which hold the Accumulators box.
3. Remove old accumulators.
4. Insert new accumulators in regard to polarity. Respect the polarity of accumulators in order not to
damage the device.
If you observe on old accumulators that are damaged (for example: leaking) do not insert new
accumulators. Instead ship the device (body) for authorized repair. On the other hand using new
accumulators may cause further damage to device body, accessory or cause fire.
5. Put back the rear cover and screws.
6. Charge the new accumulators inside of device using original power adapter. After charging them
you may turn on the device and start using it.
6.7.4 User-Replaceable Parts
The device contains no user-replaceable or serviceable parts.
