If the bobbin is winding almost completely towards the top or the bottom of the bobbin, the spacing washers may
need to be adjusted to help position the bobbin better. If it fills towards the top of the bobbin, try adding
another thin washer under the bobbin to space it up higher on the post. If it is filling towards the bottom, try
removing a thin washer. One thick washer is the same thickness as two thin washers.
Tension adjustments can be made using the knob on the tension control. The end goal is to wind the thread with
enough tension to ensure that when you push on the thread with your fingernail, it should feel firm. If it feels
‘spongy’, tighten the tension on the thread as it is winding on the bobbin. A thread cutter blade has been
included on the winder for your use – just wrap the thread under the cutter arm and the sharp blade will cut the
thread for you.
