3. TERMINOLOGY AND SYMBOLS USED IN THIS MANUAL
• OPERATING AREA:
Zone around the area where the installation procedure is being carried out and where persons may be exposed
to safety and health hazards (Attachment I, 1.1.1 - EEC Directive 89/392);
• PERSON EXPOSED TO RISKS: Any person who is wholly or partially present in a hazardous area (Attachment I, 1.1.1
- EEC Directive 89/392);
• INSTALLER: Person in charge of installing, commissioning, adjusting, maintaining, cleaning, repairing and transporting
the device (Attachment I, 1.1.1 - EEC Directive 89/392);

RESIDUAL HAZARD: A hazard that could not be eliminated or reduced during the design process.

4. HARRIER TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
4.1 INTENDED USE AND APPLICATIONS
The Harrier electro-mechanical unit is designed to operate (open and close) a barrier;
It is intended exclusively for use with vehicular traffi c.
Any other use is considered improper and therefore hazardous.
No other use is authorised by Aprimatic.
Caution
• It is forbidden to use the product for any other purpose than the intended one.
• It is forbidden to tamper with the product or modify it.
• Only APRIMATIC accessories may be used when installing the product.
