Vacuum pump
Using the vacuum pump
Remove the valve caps of the liquid valve and
gas valve and remove the nut of the
refrigerant charge port.
Connect the piezometer charge pipe to the
refrigerant charge bore of the gas valve. Then
connect the other charge pipe to the vacuum
pump.
Open the piezometer completely and let it run
for 10 – 15 minutes to check if the pressure
of the piezometer remains at -0.1 MPa.
Close the vacuum pump and maintain this
condition for 1 – 2 minutes to check if the
pressure of the piezometer remains at -
0.1 MPa. If the pressure falls, there may be a
leak.
