Specialist personnel must have
knowledge and experience of the follow-
ing:
legal r
egulations covering the handling
of hazardous substances and high
voltages that apply where the unit is
installed,
special i
nstructions for handling the
high voltages and hazardous sub-
stances that occur,
use of t
he specified protective cloth-
ing.
ATTENTION!
For
an installed valve, the follow-
ing
always apply: Environmental
damage
may be caused by resi-
dues
of poisonous media.
Before disposal make sure the
unit has bee
n cleaned and is
free of media residues.
Dispose of all materials in
accordance with the legal re-
quirements that apply where
the unit is installed.
Remove all electrical wiring and ca-
bles, and, where appropriate, liquid
residues in the valve; when doing this,
observe the operating instructions for
the valve.
Dispose of all residues in accordance
with the legal requirements that apply
where the unit is installed.
Removing the unit
DANGER
When
working on equipment and
components
carrying electric
voltage,
or on pipework, very
serious
injuries or death can be
caused
by electric shock, burns,
high
pressure in the system, or
poisoning.
Make sure there are no hot or
hazardous media on the unit
or the pipelines.
If the valve is installed, make
sure there is no residual pres-
sure in the pipeline.
Make sure the unit is discon-
nected from all electric power
supplies.
Make sure the plant is
switched off and secured
against unauthorised switching
back on.
Make sure the unit and pipe-
lines have cooled so that they
are no more than hand warm.
Wear suitable protective cloth-
ing and, when necessary use
suitable protective equipment.
