4.0 Setup & Use
4.1 Set up the NanoScope Console (Non-Sterile)
The NanoScope System consists of a NanoScope Console and a NanoScope
Handpiece Kit.
The NanoScope Console is designed to be portable, allowing a physician to move the
procedural theater to an exam room. Follow these steps each time you set up the
Console in a new location.
1. Locate the NanoScope Console close to the patient procedure area, and outside
the sterile field:
Place the Console on a flat, stable, and skid free surface, or
Mount the Console to a stable mounting system with the VESA mount on the
rear of the Console.
2. Supply power to the Console:
Connect the power adapter from the mains power to the Console, or
Power the Console using battery power.
WARNING: If you are using battery power, once the Console is turned on, view the
battery icon on the Console interface to ensure the battery level is sufficient for
expected procedure duration.
3. Adjust the Console position and viewing angle of the touch screen for optimum
use with patient position and Handpiece placement during the procedure.
4. Power on the Console.
5. For security purposes, select a user and enter the password at the login screen.
