7.3 Servicing and Calibration
We recommend that the VIA Freeze™ systems are serviced and calibrated every year.
Please contact Asymptote or your supplier to arrange this.
8. Plate loading/unloading
Due to the large number of sample formats that are available for use with VIA Freeze™
freezers, instructions for the use of specialist sample holders are supplied with them and
not included in this manual. We recommend that you contact either Asymptote or your
supplier to discuss your specific application and requirements.
For standard 2ml cryo-vials and the Asymptote supplied sample holder (ASY_10146)
there are 2 methods for placing and removing samples from the freezer:
8.1 Sample placement/removal inside freezer
In this mode of operation the sample holder(s) should be placed into the VIA Freeze™
and a protocol created that has a dwell segment ending with a hold with the temperature
at which the samples are intended to be loaded. By way of an example the following
