Speakerphone
Note:
If you are uncertain whether your voice terminal is set for the Speaker button
listen-only) feature or the Speakerphone (listen and talk) feature, check with your
System Manager. Use the following procedures if your voice terminal is set for the
Speakerphone (listen and talk) feature.
For directions on using the Reset Speakerphone feature, see “Reset Speakerphone” in
this section.
To place/answer a call

Press
Speaker-Reset Spkr
without lifting the
handset, or to use
Green light goes on steadily
speakerphone with any

Place or answer call, or access selected feature

Adjust speakerphone volume if necessary
To raise the volume, press the right half of the
Volume control button labeled

];
to lower the
volume, press the left half of the Volume control
button labeled
[
]
The display shows [ SPEAKER L>>>> H ] (There are
8 possible volume settings. On the display, 1 arrow
is the lowest setting, and 8 arrows is the highest
setting)
Note:
The Volume control does
not
affect an external
speakerphone attached to your voice terminal.
To prevent other party

Press
Mute
from hearing you
Red light goes on and other party cannot hear you
Note: If the
Speakerphone feature

Press
Mute
again to resume talking to party
is not active, the Mute
Red light goes off and other party can hear you again
feature turns off the
microphone associated
with the handset (not
the speakerphone).
To change from

Pick up handset and talk
