Flap Setting
ATP students are trained to land using the Standardized Flaps 25° Landing
prole. When conditions are necessary for a Soft-Field or Short-Field landing,
those proles should be used.
Trac Pattern Operations
Pattern Briengs should include:
Flap Setting
Type of Approach & Landing (Short-Field, Soft-Field, etc.)
Final Approach Speed
Aiming Point
Touchdown Point
Trac Pattern Operations Prole
At TPA
Reduce Power –
Maintain 90 KIAS
Established on Downwind
• Pattern Brieng
300' Below TPA
• Turn Crosswind
Abeam Touchdown Point
• "Before Landing Checklist"
• Select Flaps 25°
