Parking and maneuvering
Depending on the vehicle equipment, a rearview
camera or multiple peripheral cameras may be
available
The rearview camera helps you to park or maneu-
ver using the orientation lines.
The peripheral cameras expand the vehicle over-
view to include various views around the vehicle
that can be selected

Activating and deactivating
> Press the Put or & button (in the center con-
sole, or
» Press» on in the center display if the visual
distance indicator > page 162, fig. 120is
shown
The system can be activated at low speeds, such
when maneuvering.
Automatic activation
The system activates automatically when reverse
gear is engaged while the drive system is active.
Automatic deactivation
The system will deactivate automatically once
the vehicle exceeds a certain speed while driving
forward.

Clean rearview camera
Applies to: vehicles with rearview camera/peripheral cameras
Requirement: the rearview camera is activated or
the Rear* or Rear corner* view is selected.
» Select [=] > Clean rearview camera in the center
display when the parking aid is active.
