Advanced charging settings
Possible settings
With the advanced charging settings, you can de-
fine addresses (locations) at which certain charg-
ing settings should apply. These will be applied
as long as your vehicle is near a specified address.
The charging target that is set will be used both
for immediate charging mode and timer charging
mode.
Depending on the vehicle equipment, you can al-
so adjust the following settings:
» Charging target (battery charge level at depar-
ture time, also see page 113).
» Minimum charge (for example, to ensure a cer-
tain range when departing earlier).
» Preferred charging time (for example, to use a
less expensive electricity rate).
Managing the advanced charging settings
» Applies to: MMI: Select on the home screen:
VEHICLE > Charging > ©} > Advanced charging
settings.
» To define new settings for a certain address, se-
lect +. Follow the instructions in the display.
> To edit existing settings for a certain address,
press the respective button.
> To delete existing settings for a certain ad-
dress, select Z.
Preferred charging time
If you activate this function, then the charging
process will be limited to a charging time frame
that you have set. If the charging time frame is
too short, then the set charging target might not
be reached. To make sure a certain charge level.

tivate a timer.
Preferred charging times will only be taken into
consideration if you activate timer charging mode
before the next charging process ® page 172.

The following applies if automatic unlocking
of the charging connector is activated: if the
vehicle is not currently charging, then the
charging connector is unlocked and can be
disconnected, for example when waiting for a
timer or a charging time frame.

Introduction
Depending on the vehicle equipment, the Audi e-
tron Charging System Compact may be available.
Using the charging equipment
Pay attention to the following information for
safe handling of the charging equipment:
— Secure the charging equipment against any
strain, such as being run over, falling, pulling,
bending, and crushing.
— Do not submerge the charging equipment in
water and do not cover it with snow or ice.
~When you remove the charging cable from the
vehicle and from the power supply, only pull on.
the connectors and not on the cable.
~Put the cap on after using the charging cable.
~ Only operate the Audi charging system ina
power supply system with a frequency of
50 Hz/60 Hz.
— Only operate or store the Audi charging system
at a humidity level between 5% and 95% (no
condensation).
~The Audi charging system is protected against
dust and splashing water (IPSS (USA: Enclosure
3).
Depending on the country, different warnings
may be on the charging equipment.
Operate or store the Audi charging
system at a temperature range of
-22 °F (-30 °C) to +122 °F (+50 °C).
Operate or store the Audi charging
system at a maximum elevation of
13,000 feet (4,000 m) above sea
level.
