Operating the panoramic glass roof and
roof sunshade
Applies to: vehicles with panoramic glass roof and roof sun-
shade

The system is controlled by swiping across or
pressing the control pad @/@)° fig. 36. When
opening or closing the roof or sunshade, you can
stop the movement at any given position by
touching the control pad again.
If the sunshade is closed, it will automatically
open when the roof is tilted or opened.
Operating the roof
» Tilting the roof: press the control pad <b / A
in the headliner @.
> Closing the roof when itis tilted: press on the
control pad <+/ 7 in the headliner.
» Opening the roof: swipe your finger from the
front to the back across the control pad <3 in
the headliner.
» Closing the roof: swipe your finger from the
back to the front across the control pad <% in
the headliner.
Operating the roof sunshade
The roof sunshade cannot be closed completely if
the roof is open.
» Opening or closing the sunshade: swipe your
finger from the back to the front across the
control pad # in the headliner @), or press the
corresponding symbol A/ 7.

Roof emergency closing
If an object is detected when closing, the roof will
open again automatically. In this case, you can
then close it with the power emergency closing
function.
» Tap the control pad <4 in the headliner @ with-
in five seconds after the automatic opening and
swipe toward the front until your finger reaches
‘V. Keep your finger in that location until the
roof is closed.
— Observe the safety precautions > page 33.
—To reduce the risk of injury, always pay at-
tention when closing the roof. Always switch
the ignition off and take the key with you
when leaving the vehicle.
Always close the roof when you leave the vehi-
cle and when there is precipitation to reduce
the risk of damage to the interior equipment,
particularly the electronic equipment.
— After switching off the ignition, the roof and
sunshades can still be operated for several
minutes as long as neither of the front
doors have been opened.
— It is not possible to open the roof when tem-
peratures
are too low.
