Adjusting the volume
You can adjust the volume of an audio source or a
system message (for example, from the voice
recognition system) when the sound is playing.
» To increase or decrease the volume using the
steering wheel controls, press the +/- button
@, or to control using gestures, swipe your fin-
ger up or down in area @), or
» To increase or decrease the volume using the
MMI control pad © fig. 22, swipe your finger
clockwise or counterclockwise.
> To mute, press % on the steering wheel or on
the MMI control pad.
Selecting the previous/next track or station
» Press the ld]/ DDI button @ on the steering
wheel, or to control using gestures, swipe your
finger to the left or right in area @), or
» Press |d<J/ DDI on the MMI control pad.

Fast forward/rewind
» Press and hold I< / DDI on the steering wheel
@®or on the MMI control pad until the desired
playback position is reached.
Quick access steering wheel button
Depending on vehicle equipment, the button G)
may provide quick access to various functions.
You can program the >K button with various func-
tions.
» To bring up the function that is currently set,
press the 2K button.
» To perform the function that is currently set,
press and hold the > button, or:
» Applies to MMI: Select on the home screen: VE-
HICLE > Settings & Service > Steering wheel
button asgmt.
» Select and confirm the desired function.
Turning the steering wheel heating on or off
Applies to: vehicles with steering wheel heating

Switching the voice recognition system on or
off

Using the telephone functions

Adjust the volume of the audio system so that
signals from outside the vehicle, such as po-
lice and fire sirens, can be heard easily at all
times.
