INPUT CONNECTIONS – STEREO OPERATION
INPUT
Before attempting any signal connection, be sure that all units in the systems are not plugged
into the AC power supply as well as the Flight ONE amplifier.
The amplifier can work both in unbalanced and balanced mode.
Inputs “1”, “2”, “3” and “4” are of unbalanced type (see part 11 at page 47), whereas input “5”
is of balanced type (see part 14 at page 47).
For the input selection, refer to the “FUNCTIONS AND COMMANDS” chapter, “input
selection” section at page 14.
For the polarity of the balanced input, refer to the figure below.
Pin 2 : Non inverting input ( + )
Pin 3 : Inverting input ( - )
Pin 1 : Signal ground
For each input it is possible to set a gain offset (+/- 12 dB), to change the polarity and the label
of inputs on the display. (For a detailed explanation, refer to the “ADVANCED FUNCTIONS”
chapter, “set gain input” section at page 37).
It is possible to plug in an optional Phono board, the “FL PH1”, inside the unit, which allows to
exploit the “1” input as a phono input.
To connect the turntable ground to the AUDIA Flight One amplifier chassis, use the dedicated
“Ground” post (see also part 21 at page 47).
NOTICE: The placement of the optional Phono board must be done only by authorized
qualified operator.
MONITOR
When operating, this input allows listening (“monitoring”), through the loudspeakers, what is
under recording at the “rec out” output (see also part 17 at page 47).
To select the “monitor” function refer to the chapter “FUNCTIONS AND COMMANDS”,
“monitor” section at page 36.
The use of signal interconnections of the highest quality is recommended.
