7. Operation and control of actuator
7.1. Manual operation
The handwheel allows actuator operation even in case of power failure.
However, handwheel operation is only provided for occasional manual valve operation.
7.1.1. Manual valve operation
Risk of actuator damage when operating the handwheel while the motor is
running!
→
Use the handwheel only if the motor is at standstill.
→
Do NOT use extensions as lever for operation.

1.
Close valve:
→
Turn EQ 40 – EQ 150 handwheel clockwise.
→
Turn EQ 300/EQ 600 handwheel counterclockwise.
➥
Drive shaft (valve) turns clockwise in direction CLOSE.
2.
Open valve:
→
Turn EQ 40 – EQ 150 handwheel counterclockwise.
→
Turn EQ 300/EQ 600 handwheel clockwise.
➥
Drive shaft (valve) turns counterclockwise in direction OPEN.
7.2. Motor operation
In motor operation, the actuator is electrically driven. For this, the motor must be
controlled by means of the terminals indicated on the provided wiring diagram.
