4.2 Control devices
4.2.1 Start up and switch o
Start up and switch o functions are described in chapter "General instructions for operation"
included in "Part C" of the Instruction Manual. Therefore, please refer to that part of the Manual.
4.2.2 Stop
The stop is a safety function that brings the Machine to a safe state every time it is necessary
to stop it due to a potentially hazardous situation.
The stop function may activate:
- Manually (active stop): the User activates the stop function pressing the red STOP
pushbutton on the Transmitting Unit.
- Automatically (passive stop): the Receiving Unit autonomously activates the stop function
if the radio link is incorrect or interrupted.
THE USER MUST AT ALL TIMES PAY FULL ATTENTION TO THE SAFE
AND PROPER OPERATION OF THE MACHINE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS PROVIDED IN THIS MANUAL AND WITH THE
MANUAL, INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS FOR THE MACHINE AND WITH
ALL APPLICABLE LAWS, REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS, EVEN LOCAL.
ACTIVATING THE STOP PUSHBUTTON OR RETURNING THE ACTUATORS
TO THE REST POSITION MAY NOT RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE STOPPING
OF THE MACHINE.
THE STOP PUSHBUTTON MAY NOT ACTIVATE A BRAKE. FURTHERMORE,
DIFFERENT MACHINES HAVE DIFFERENT RESPONSE TIMES AND STOPPING
DISTANCES. WHILE THE STOP FEATURE IS HELPFUL, THE USER MUST
BE FULLY AWARE OF THE MOVEMENTS AND OPERATING ZONES OF THE
MACHINE AND MUST ALLOW FOR SUFFICIENT SAFE FUNCTIONING OF THE
MACHINE, INCLUDING SUCH RESPONSE TIMES AND STOPPING DISTANCES.
FAILURE TO DO SO CONTINUOUSLY AND CORRECTLY MAY RESULT IN
SEVERE INJURY OR DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.
