9-5 Canopy Indication
9-5.1 General
Depending on customer’s configuration the gyroplane can be equipped with a Canopy
indicator light to alarm the pilot that the canopy is not properly locked.
9-5.2 Limitations
No change to standard aircraft.
9-5.3 Emergency Procedures
Proceed according to emergency procedure “Canopy Open in Flight” provided in SECTION
3 for the standard aircraft.

9-5.7 System Description
The Canopy indication is controlled by a proximity switch at the canopy locking handle,
activated by a magnet located within the locking lever. If the canopy is not properly locked
the ‘Canopy’ indication will illuminate and the pre-rotator will be deactivated.
9-5.8 Handling and Servicing
In case of faulty indication or flicker have readjustment performed by an authorized
maintenance centre.
