Another cause could be water in the display pole base, causing a shortage and corrosion on the circuit board; replace the circuit board or display pole. The display itself may also be damaged, requiring a display pole replacement.

  If your AVA WEIGH Scales boots up without sound and displays “Update”, it could be due to a program download error or misoperation during the downloading of the program (such as halfway power outage). Reload following the correct procedures. Reset the IP (default is 192.168.1.87) when updating by Ethernet. If updating by serial port, input any number as the scale's ID (the maximum baud rate is 115200).
