IPTML Components
Issue 1 September 2008 51
Label
Elements
A Label element can
be positioned below
an IPTML element, or
Card element. The
Label element is used
to define text for the
Top Line, Title Line
and Prompt Line.
If the Label element
appears under an
IPTML element, it
provides a default
Label for all the Cards
in the document. If a
card does not contain
a Label, it will use the
default Label, as
defined under the
IPTML element.
If a Label element
appears under a Card
element, it overrides
the default Label
under IPTML
element.
topline: consists
of the actual text
message to
display on the
telephone’s top
line
titleLine: the
second line,
specifies the
current
application, and a
subtitle if one
exists. The
subtitle typically
changes from
screen to screen
within an
application to
reflect changes in
context caused
either by user
actions or by
other events.
promptLine:
used by the
current
application to
provide
context-specific
prompts, hints,
explanations,
help, or similar
information.
Application
specific help
messages are
managed by each
application.
The example below will
display the Welcome
message on the Title
Line of the phone
