Installing FRITZ!Box in Windows XP

Pick up the USB cable and insert the flat plug into a free
USB port on your computer.
4. Then insert the square connector into the socket la-
beled “ ” on FRITZ!Box.

5. The Windows XP “Add New Hardware Wizard” starts.
Follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
6. A message appears: “New network device installed”.
Confirm by clicking “Finish”.
If FRITZ!Box is installed correctly, the “USB” LED on the
device will be lit up.
FRITZ!Box is now connected and ready for operation.
You can only connect to the Internet if Internet access is con-
figured on the computer. See the section ”Online with
FRITZ!Box“ from page 24 for information about how to config-
ure an Internet connection.
