Resettofactorydefaultshouldbeusedwithcaution.Aresettofactorydefaultresetsallsettings,
includingtheIPaddress,tothefactorydefaultvalues.
Toresettheproducttothefactorydefaultsettings:
1.Disconnectpowerfromtheproduct.
2.Pressandholdthecontrolbuttonwhilereconnectingpower.See.
3.Keepthecontrolbuttonpressedfor15–30secondsuntilthestatusLEDindicatorflashesamber.
4.Releasethecontrolbutton.TheprocessiscompletewhenthestatusLEDindicatorturnsgreen.
Theproducthasbeenresettothefactorydefaultsettings.IfnoDHCPserverisavailableonthe
network,thedefaultIPaddressis192.168.0.90.
5.UsetheinstallationandmanagementsoftwaretoolstoassignanIPaddress,setthepassword,
andaccessthedevice.

Firmwareoptions
Axisoffersproductfirmwaremanagementaccordingtoeithertheactivetrackorthelong-termsupport
(LTS)tracks.Beingontheactivetrackmeanscontinuouslygettingaccesstoallthelatestproduct
features,whiletheLTStracksprovideafixedplatformwithperiodicreleasesfocusedmainlyonbug
fixesandsecurityupdates.
Usingfirmwarefromtheactivetrackisrecommendedifyouwanttoaccessthenewestfeatures,orif
youuseAxisend-to-endsystemofferings.TheLTStracksarerecommendedifyouusethird-party
integrations,whicharenotcontinuouslyvalidatedagainstthelatestactivetrack.WithLTS,theproducts
