Levelthecamera
Toadjusttheviewinrelationtoareferenceareaoranobject,usethelevelgridincombinationwitha
mechanicaladjustmentofthecamera.
1.GotoVideo>Image>andclick
.
2.Click
toshowthelevelgrid.
3.Adjustthecameramechanicallyuntilthepositionofthereferenceareaortheobjectisaligned
withthelevelgrid.
Selectexposuremode
Toimproveimagequalityforspecificsurveillancescenes,useexposuremodes.Exposuremodeslets
youcontrolaperture,shutterspeed,andgain.GotoVideo>Image>Exposureandselectbetween
thefollowingexposuremodes:
•Formostusecases,selectAutomaticexposure.
•Forenvironmentswithcertainartificiallighting,forexamplefluorescentlighting,select
Flicker-free.
Selectthesamefrequencyasthepowerlinefrequency.
•Forenvironmentswithcertainartificiallightandbrightlight,forexampleoutdoorswithfluorescent
lightingatnightandsunduringdaytime,selectFlicker-reduced.
Selectthesamefrequencyasthepowerlinefrequency.
•Tolockthecurrentexposuresettings,selectHoldcurrent.
BenetfromIRlightinlow-lightconditionsbyusingnightmode
Yourcamerausesvisiblelighttodelivercolorimagesduringtheday.Butasthevisiblelightdiminishes,
colorimagesbecomelessbrightandclear.Ifyouswitchtonightmodewhenthishappens,thecamera
usesbothvisibleandnear-infraredlighttodeliverbrightanddetailedblack-and-whiteimagesinstead.
Youcansetthecameratoswitchtonightmodeautomatically.
1.GotoVideo>Image>Day-nightmode,andmakesurethattheIR-cutfilterissettoAuto.
2.Tosetatwhatlightlevelyouwantthecameratoswitchtonightmode,movetheThreshold
slidertowardBrightorDark.
3.Tousethebuilt-inIRlightwhenthecameraisinnightmode,turnonAllowIRilluminationand
SynchronizeIRillumination.

Ifyousettheswitchtonightmodetooccurwhenit’sbrighter,theimageremainssharperasthere
islesslow-lightnoise.Ifyousettheswitchtooccurwhenit’sdarker,theimagecolorsare
maintainedforlonger,butthereismoreimageblurduetolow-lightnoise.
