Pairing the Device
Your HomePlugAV devices by default are preconfigured with a common Private
Network Name. Setting up your HomePlugAV network can quickly be done without
any hassle or complexity.
1. It is advisable that you plug in your HomePlugAV devices side by side to easily
observe the LED behaviors of each HomePlugAV. Wait until the Power and PL-
ACT LED turns ON to confirm that the connection has been established.
2. In ROOM A, plug in your HomePlugAV (in this case, HL117E) into a power
outlet then connect it to your Modem/Router’s Ethernet LAN port using an
Ethernet cable.
3. In ROOM B, plug in your HomePlugAV (in this case, HL117EW) into a power
outlet then connect it to your computer’s Ethernet Port using an Ethernet
cable.
4. You may connect your wireless devices to either of the HL117EW’s 2.4GHz or
5.0GHz frequency band. The wireless SSID and wireless password can be seen
on the device label sticker on the top of your device.
