Operating mode (continued)
7.6.4 Setting external triggers
(only in mode for switching sensors)
E t t
This setting is suitable especially for situational teach-ins.
The teach line has 3states:
– Open
– Towards U
bat
– Towards GND
The settings are effective immediately.
Teach line inactive
oF F
External triggering is not possible.
In normal operation, the white teach line must
always be connected to the blue negative line.
The high teach value is assigned to SP1:
– higher dampening
– smaller object distance
The low teach value is assigned to SP2:
– smaller dampening
– larger object distance
Teach line active
t EA
The external teach-in process is available for switching
modes Std, 2Pt, and Win.
Each teach-in process saves the settings.
Amaximum of 300,000 cycles is possible.
Teaching in SP1: Detecting an object
1. Place the object in the desired detection state (distance
to the object or sensor surface covering with fill level).
2. Briefly connect the open teach line (white) to U
B+
(brown).
⇒ Switchpoint SP1: current detection state reliably
detected is taught in.

Teaching in SP1: Detecting an object
Teaching in SP2: Not detecting an object
1. Change the distance from the sensor to the object or
the sensor surface covering selected for SP1 to the
extent where the object is to be classified as not
detected (any longer).
2. Briefly connect the open teach line (white) to U
B–
(blue).
⇒ Switchpoint SP2: current detection state not
detected is taught in.
