REMEDY
CAUSE
PROBLEM
MACHINE OPERATIONS
Boom will not remain raised.
Main or Secondary boom valve
needs service.
Nooiloworpressure.
No servo pressure.
Damaged or loose lines.
Worn cylinder seals.
Replace valve.
Any or all of the following:
 -Replacedirtylters.
- Fill reservoir to proper level.
Replace or tighten lines.
Replace seals.
Platform assembly does not
swing.
Repair or replace motor.
Repair or replace sources of
leaks or blocks.
Repair or replace pump.
Swing motor needs service.
Leakage or blockage in hydraulic
system.
Swing pump needs service.
No steering control. (if applicable)
Leakage or blockage in hydraulic
system.
Carrier system not operational.
Repair or replace sources of
leaks and blocks.
Repair or replace as needed.
Machine steering in opposite
direction. (if applicable)
Lines to cylinders connected to
wrong ports at steering valve or
cylinder.
Correct connections.
Steering wheel does not turn. (if
applicable)
Binding in steering column or
misalignment of column.
High return line pressure.
Contamination in steering valve.
Inspect. Repair or replace parts
as necessary.
Check for a pinched or damaged
return line.
Inspecthydrauliclterfor
contamination. Clean or replace
as necessary.
Erratic steering.
Air in oil.
Solenoid steering select valve
needs service.
Low oil level in reservoir.
Sticky steering valve spool.
Loose cylinder piston.
Check for foaming oil. Replace.
Inspect. Replace if necessary.
Add oil.
Repair or replace steering valve
spool.
Repair or replace steering
cylinder.
