6 SOFTWARE UPDATE
Step 1: Preparing the USB stick
Download the current version (.zip file) from the website. Unpack this file and copy the four files contained
onto an empty USB stick:
Bios.inf
Ecostar.bin
EEPROM.BAK
SPIFLASH.BAK
Step 2: Inserting the USB stick
Insert the USB stick into the USB port on the back side of the Ecostar6000.
Step 3: Backup menu
Press “Menu” and open the “Backup” menu with the PIN code “8570”. Switch to the second page.
Press Restart. A signal melody is played, and the update is started. The screen is inactive during the update,
and three LEDs on the back side should flash.
