If no type is available, this field indicates nothing.
**** This latch serves both as DATA LINK or GPS indicator. If DATA LINK switch in
section SPECIALS is selected then this latch indicates either DATA LINK or GPS er
-
ror. Otherwise GPS error is indicated if GPS receiver is connected.

Checking after installation
A. General
After the installation, check the transponder to ensure satisfactory operation
of the unit.
B. Pre-flight check using selftest
Power-on test:
Switch the transponder operating mode switch from OFF to SBY. A power-on
built-in test (PBIT) is automatically activated for 1 second. During the test
WAIT is indicated. If the test was successful, the transponder automatically
switches to the SBY mode.
Initiatet test (IBIT):
Press the SEL and STO button at the same time in mode ON or ALT. A IBIT
test is activated. During the test, IBIT is indicated on the display. If the IBIT
was successful, the transponder switches immediately into the normal opera
-
ting mode.
In case of a fault FAILURE report appears in the display. In this case acti
-
vate the procedur 9. Settings after intsallation page 2-7 in this manual. In
the table error latches the failure is displayed.
